If you are reading this, thank you for visiting my new blog. This is the first time I have actively blogged. I have been a Software Engineer for a some time now and I have never felt the need to contribute back to the community until now.
What sparked this sudden urge to give back to my fellow engineers? Well it started with me attending ColdFusion Summit 2013 this last October. I attended and loved the material and learning from those who had already been there and done it. I also learned a lot from getting to know my fellow Coldfusion users. Shortly after that I became active on twitter and stackoverflow, following many of the presenters and interacting with them. I realized I was missing a key factor in the success of great engineers, I had a limited network of people I could reach out to! I set out to change this. I have since reached out to many of my colleagues and received help on several very difficult problems that I have had to solve recently. The solutions seem so simple and obvious now; however, it could have taken much longer with out help from my community. So here I am feeling like I should pay it forward and give back just like so many have done before me.
I hope you enjoy and find my posts useful. If you have questions or there is something that I am unclear on in my posts please feel free to post a comment. I will do my best to reply.
